Lose 10 Pounds - Quick Tips

If you want to lose 10 pounds quick, you can do so easily in two weeks if you follow these quick weight loss tips:

1. Eat breakfast in the morning. Do not make the mistake of thinking that just because you want to lose 10 pounds you have to starve yourself. This is the most ineffective thing that you can do when you want to lose weight. Starving yourself only lowers your metabolism so that it does not burn fat or calories. By eating breakfast in the morning, you will give your metabolism a boost that will allow it to burn calories all day long.

 

2. Avoid sugars. This means soda, sweets, candy, cookies, pastries, cakes and any sweetened drink. If you have a sweet tooth and drink a lot of soda, you will notice a big weight loss simply by switching to water. Avoid all sweetened drinks including putting sugar in your tea or coffee if you want to lose 10 pounds quick.

3. Drink plenty of water or green tea. Green tea works well because it flavors the water without adding calories. Plus it is loaded with antioxidants. You will find that you are flushing out your system quite regularly if you drink plenty of green tea, either hot or cold, throughout the day. Green tea is one of the few crazy fads that are out there that actually works to allow you to lose 10 pounds quick.

4. Count your calories. The only food group you should skip is the simple carbohydrates, which is the high sugared foods. They add no nutritional value and will only give you empty calories. The rest of the foods on the food pyramid, including complex carbohydrates such as fruits, vegetables, pastas, rice and breads, are all part of a healthy balanced diet. It does not matter if you eat these, it just matters how much of these you eat. The only effective way to lose weight safely is to count your calories.

There are plenty of charts online that will tell you how many calories you need to consume based upon your height, age, gender and lifestyle. Use these charts to see how many calories you need to consume to lose weight. You should never consume less than 1000 calories a day. In most cases, you will want to consume about 1200 calories a day to lose 10 pounds quick.

5. Exercise. Dieting without exercise is a total waste of time. Do cardiovascular exercises in the morning to get your heart going and metabolism boosted. In the evening, you can do stretching and Pilates to relax you. Exercise is essential to aid in weight loss.
